2D Work

The two-dimensional works are pulp paintings and graphic compositions formed entirely by hand using pigmented pulp. The practice began with papermaking training in Japan and continued in the United States through study under established hand papermakers at Womens Studio Workshop and Morgan Conservatory. Layered fibers and quiet irregularities allow each surface to function as both image and material presence.
